Hate to admit it, but We forgot to empty our fresh water tank for about two weeks and now I have a odor coming out of the faucets. We've filled and emptied a number of times but it still remains.

Thought about a bottle of lemon juice or maybe a cup of bleach with a fill and dump. Would appreciate any suggestions or observations. By the way it is a 25 gallon tank.

Thanks in advance!

I use the cup of beach method. I put about a cup of bleach in and then fill the tank, run it through all faucets and then drain the freshwater tank.

I add a 1/4 cup of bleach to a full tank two or three times thru the season. We do not drink the water from the holding tank but it keeps the whole system fresh right down to the holding tanks. More especially the gray water tank. "Careful to much and you get blond hair in the shower :)" Another secret I have learned is once back home mix a 1/4 cup or less in a gal jug of water and flush the drain traps including the shower. It cuts down on the flies crawling thru the black or gray tanks into the LQ while stored. The traps empty on the road and flies have no problem crawling thru fresh water. As a matter of fact thanks for reminding me I will need to run a dose this weekend. Nearing the end of the season up here. We wrap up after Columbus Day weekend. Days are to short and it get to chilly for my thin skin.
