gooseneck or bumper pull?

Just guessing based on other brands I have had I would say the gooseneck is going to be somewhere around 5000 lbs  and the bumper pull is going to be around 4000 lbs. IMO

My 3 horse S&H with a 2' short wall was 4210 lbs!

Not taking away from what they told you.... I would take it to a truck scale and get you whole rig weighed. Truck and trailer together, then either the truck or trailer seperate.... That's what I did, a dealer under guestimated our trailer's weight by 2500#. Dealer said it weighed 7500#, I thought if felt mighty heavy for 7500#, so I carried it to town... The scale at Elm City Farm Supply says 10000# and change. That only leaves me 5000# for horses, tack, feed for a week, carts, harnesses, etc. etc.....

I agree with Retendo.  And I'm guessing 5900 lbs is light.  I had a 3 horse steel gooseneck, no LQ, that the factory said weighed ~6000 lbs.  So I was going to guess more like 7000-7500 lbs. for a 4 horse.
