quote.... Do they have a built in regulator or restricter? Similar to a propane/natural gas restricter on a gas oven?

It may have a Natrual gas orfice in it rather than an L.P. orfice..... The NG orfice is alot smaller than the LP. That would slow things way down...

Something is going on in that valve to restrict the flow; whether it's inoperative, damaged or restricted. It should be easy to swap out, and probably could be modified.

I told you I was a retard!  After checking everything, going to the propane place down the road then to the RV shop.  Then getting mad and pulling the temp control apart 3 times still not figuring it out.  I pulled it apart a 4th time and realize that the little screw on the top does not hold the knob on, it actually is to adjust the flow of gas going thru the valve!!

So now with the screw adjusted down a few turns down I have a good flame and all seems to be working right!

Thanks for the help!

Don't you wish all your problems had such an easy fix? Now you are an expert on gas grills in addition to the diesels.
