We have an older truck (half ton) and I haul a 2 horse tag along with it, with a weight distribution hitch. I've noticed that the truck/trailer sits a little differently than it used to, the truck seems to sit lower than it did previously. I'm not the only one who has noticed the difference. My husband had used the truck to haul some particularly heavy material. Is it possible that the springs need to be replaced or something else?

Have you checked for broken springs?

That's my concern. Are they expensive to replace?

Keep the springs you got and add some helpers...

You could also install a set of coil-overs or air bags to help, providing none of the springs are broken.
