I have a featherlite with LQ, just no ac- thinking about mounting an ac unit to the front of the trailer? any ideas? Do not want a roof mount do to height. Have a shed for trailer and it will not accomodate any more height.

Im not aware of any AC unit that could be mounted on a trailer that is reasonably that doesn't mount on the roof. If you do find one will you have to pull it off and reinstall it everytime you setup camp? Most horse trailers have a AC mount in the roof. It might be easier to just install a roof mount and raise your roof on your shed?

My trailer isn't very well insulated, but I tried one of the portable AC's and it didn't do anything to help with the TX heat. I just broke down and bought a roof top unit.

we are installing our underneath the tongue. It's gonna save us $400-600. Yes, you do have to make sure it is well retained and secured, and make sure it won't get in the way of your truck, but other than that I think it will work great.

Lots of people have just regular room window unit ac mounted in the front of their gooseneck horse trailers and they work well. Probably require some extra bracing and cutting hole in the front of the trailer under the gooseneck, but the back end sticks out just like in a window.
