Replaced set of shoes and magnet on rear right wheel after getting very hot. After finishing I could hear a noise kind of like a tick coming from only that wheel with trailer plug in, with or without the ignition on. put a voltage meter on it and it registered .06 when it ticked. Have a Prodigy brake controller and the trailer is a 4Star with dexter brakes and axles. Help please Peggy

I was having problems with my brakes as well this spring in my opinion its best to replace everything once you starting having problems with one. I bought 4 new brake assemblies for 200 bucks off line plus new wheel bearing seals for that price.
I was trying to be safe instead of sorry now if those D Carslie tires would of held up it would of been an uneventful season but thats a whole other story.

I have E rated carlisle's on my trailer and this is the 2nd set..I have never had any problems with them.... I'm saving up for new brake assemblies now...

Yeah they factory tires were D tires when one blew on Thursday heading out to celebrate my wedding anniversary I chose to replace all 4 with E rated tires. Was not so much concerned with the Carlisle brand but I wanted a higher rated tire. 6ft short loaded with camping stuff, 4 horses, and lots of tack I wanted a little more supporting the trailer to save the rest of my fenders from another blow out.
Yeah just replacing the Brake assemblies and by buying them off line is so much cheaper. I found them for 40 bucks an assembly online. They were 100 bucks an assembly anywhere in town.

I just had the brakes on my rig checked. The trailer brakes were perfect. But, the RV brakes were not. Now I'm broke! It was $600.00 to fix the front brakes.

I just dropped off my trailer for brake work. I also wanted them to check the bearings,looks like I needed a new tire and of course an oil change for the pick up. if I don't eat,stop using eletricity and walk so i don't have to buy gas I can probably afford to have all this work done....
