I have pulled my hair out trying to find a replacement cord for the trailer to truck connection. It says Maxi Seal 273521 Featherlite on it. Does anyone one have any ideas?

Coiled cord? Straight cord? Check with an RV store, local Truck Stop, Wal-Mart, Your trailer's Mfg...
Does it have a plug on both ends...? You can make your own, ad the plug/plugs of your choice and/or hard wire the trailer end. Parts readily available at an RV parts supply house, heavy equipment/tractor trailer dealer, or your local truck stop.

All my trailers have a 7 pin RV connector and is hard wired to the trailer. I would lose the "Small rectangular " plug in favor of a terminal strip. Less expense and connection hassle.

This would be a great time to consider EZ Connector, my review at http://www.mrtrailer.com/ezconnector.htm I've replaced all my trailer connections with them. They now have adapters for 7 pin RV plug so you can still loan out your trailer to the neighbors or not.

I lost trailer brakes going down the highway. It was a 55 mph highway due to the multiple cross roads. I had to make a quick stop at a light from an idiot slamming on his brakes at a just changed yellow light when he should've kept going. I was loaded. Our truck did stop the trailer but I have to say, I am darn glad we have (had) good brake pads and rotors on that truck. The truck brakes were hot and smelled horrible. I FELT that trailer and I prayed for the truck brakes not to fail. I don't like the connection at all. One of the pins looks somewhat melted so to speak. My hubby put some cleaner gooey stuff on the inside and it still does it every now and then. No hauling until replacement.....
