The WERM folks in Oklahoma City went over this morning and picked up my trailer from HART. I'm going to use this trailer to haul livestock between Montana and Alaska so they said they would put the rubber floor in at a full one inch thick rather than 5/8 or 3/4. They picked it up at 9:00 AM and its already done. I wont see it until they get it back to Hart and Hart delivers it to my dealer in Montana, but I am excited to see how this thicker floor turns out. These guys have been very easy to work with, like I said, they even picked up and delivered the trailer!Has anyone else ever done the thicker WERM? Do you think it will make the long ride easier on the animals?

Hi - we purchased an older 4-Star, 3 horse w/mid-tack/rear tack and when we were in OK a few years ago to have some warranty work done at the factory - we hauled the trailer over to get a WERM floor poured in - the trailer had a "pan-floor" and it was extremely "wavy" - Kris poured the WERM to level out the floor and in some areas it was OVER AN INCH thick - and in other areas it was 3/4" ... etc etc...BUT he did get it completely level - we have 2 very big horses and used this trailer without any problems and when we sold it 2 years ago - to friends - they love having the thick floor and they have hauled extensively and they think it is easier on the animals! We purchased another used trailer and we had WERM floor poured into it - but it is thinner - and I wish we had a 1" floor - I think it would be "cushier" - next one we will have will be thicker! BUT....WE LOVE WERM FLOORS - being of the senior variety - its way easier than mats! I believe you and your animals will love it!!!

Thanks for the info. I do think the thicker floor Kris poured in will be nice on the horses legs. This trailer will be used for cattle also so I will really put the werm floor to the test. If it holds up to the use it will get with me it should hold up for anyone. I guess the thicker floor will be a bit heavier but hopefully it will be worth it.

Do you mind me asking what it costs to put in the WERM flooring? Have been considering the do it yourself version, but wondering what it costs to have it installed prof. I have a 5 horse...
