Yippee! I ordered my new Lakota. 3 Horse Gooseneck, 6ft LQ w/furnace, ramp on the side, ramp on the back, awning, insulated roof in horse area, mangers, flat screen TV, dual electric jacks. I have been searching over a year. I have found this web site to be a huge resource both in people's honest opinions on this forum and also the ease of seaching all over the country for trailers on one web site. Much thanks also to Gary Stites at RV Headquarters in London, Ohio for his patience and professionalism while we worked out a deal.

I have been looking at trailers for over a year and began looking at Lakota's when I heard by word of mouth that Lakota just really goes above and beyond what any one would expect out of a manufacturer backing up their product. Then I searched on this forum and heard other good stories of Lakota standing behind their trailers. After I heard of their excellent customer service I began comparing apples to apples and when you do that, they are a great value for a trailer with Living Quarters. I honestly couldn't find anything close in price when you include all the amenities. It makes sense that they can be so competitive on price because they do their conversions in house so that is one less middle man that needs to be paid. And one less person you need to argue with if something goes wrong too. They also offered a real nice 6ft LQ package in an 8ft wide trailer that will give nice storeage mangers and turn around room in the LQ with out making the trailer too long. I can't wait to pick it up!

You will be very happy with Gary Stites at RV Headquarters, Lakota of Ohio, I have spoken with he and his wife at Congress and just had my trailer winterized there a few weeks ago. Ask Gary about his stagecoach, he has a very nice one. And as far as I am concerned you cannot go wrong with a Lakota trailer, my wife and I love ours.

Yes I saw Gary's stagecoach at Congress too. There was a bunch of kids peering inside the stage coach and Gary yelled over, " You kids can climb inside if you want and sit in it ! "

I picked up my new Lakota yesterday and last night when it was 10 degrees I turned on the furnace and me and the hubby watched a movie on the DVD flat screen TV. The interior is beautiful and efficeint for a 6ft LQ. The option I think I will appreciate the most is the power jack. I am pulling it with a 2500HD and the truck really sat down when I hooked it up to the trailer so the trailer is tilted down hill a little. The gooseneck will need to be adjusted and I may possibly need to look into some air bags. I am really happy with the tight trim work in the LQ and the smooth handling of all the doors and windows in the horse compartment. The only thing I can say that I am not super pleased with was the ramps were a little slippery when there was a little snow on them. Here are some pictures, if someone wants to see something particular , let me know and I 'll take more pictures.

I did NOT buy the charger, I bought the full blown Lakota. The biggest reason was my husband wanted the thicker aluminum skin on the Lakota over the thinner skinned charger.
