Good morning, all!
I'm new to this forum, but have been perusing the site for quite a while. I recently (yesterday!) delivered one trailer and picked up another trailer, each sold/purchased through HTW. The trailer that I bought is a 4-Star, 5-horse head-to-head gooseneck with a 4-foot dressing room. The trailer I sold had dual hydraulic jacks; that was NICE to have! I would like to replace the manual-crank center jack that the new (to me) trailer has with an electric jack. The trailer weighs approx. 6400 lbs. empty, and I'm finding it difficult to figure out the best solution for an aftermarket electric jack. I would consider installing dual electric jacks if necessary. Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I have a 2008 6 horse Cherokee head to head. 43' over all length approx. 10,000# empty. It has a single leg "Equalizer" hydraulic jack...... I believe it's the model, AM 1/24, rated at 12,000#.

Before I'd go 2 electrics I sure go 1 hydraulic.
But a single electric should handle that trailer ( if you want to go electric) My Logan 4h with a 9 LQ weighed in fully loaded at 16,000lbs and it had an electric jack that handled that weight just fine.
But the hydraulics are Soooooo much faster to operate. If you can afford a hydraulic, I think that is the only way to go.

Here is one that I found on ebay for a binkley brand 2 speed jack that is simular to my bulldog jack. Item number: 230049085057. Here is a complete replacement jack Item number: 390020627777. Either way it is cheaper than a hydraulic unit. I had a bigfoot I paid $1700. install last summer and just pulled it off and sold it on ebay for $820....

I'm not sure if that one will or not. You can call them and find out. I know some of the newer bulldog 2 speed jack are have a little different crank setup now. The guys at NRS in Decatur had one in a fews weeks ago on the new style bulldog jack. You might try them as well, they are listed on here as a dealer. Talk to Ben or Mike.

HTB... What was wrong with your Bigfoot Jack.... Heard others say they liked them better than the Equalizer Jack or the Electric motor deals. It they were any better than my Equalizer I couldn't stand it.

Nothing at all wrong with it. The trailer I had it installed on had to be put with the same equipment it came with. And the bigfoot jack is a little over kill for our little S&H 3 horse slant and the 04 Sundowner we just bought already has a Equalizer hydraulic jack on it.
One being better than the other, I have no idea other than the Equalizer is not near as loud as the bigfoot when raising and lowering the trailer.
