Does anyone have any experience with using one of those air-ride gooseneck hitches? Thoughts on them, do they work well and would they be worth the cost? Thanks

I spoke with someone the other day who had one and absolutely loved it.  He said the ride in the trailer was way better and less movement on the truck.  No first hand knowledge tho.

yeah i got one.  if i get another trailer it will be air ride.  since i dont have one now i have the air hitch.  ton of difference between it and the straight coupler.  but my trailer is heavy and very tongue heavy at that.  it will sit a dually chevy on the helper springs, empty making the ride very stiff.  it will shake your insides enough that if you have ate you will wish you hadnt.  the air coupler takes all of that out or at least 75% of it.

with that heavy of a trailer i moved to a 2L-4400, its air rear but i still use the coupler.  i broke two speaker mounts in the LQ without it in 3months on several long hauls.  put it back in and so far so good.  that also should tell you its taking out alot of the shock.

I bought an air ride hitch a few years ago with the air bags on each side.  I loved it, but the bearings went out and I took it off.  I don't know anything about having it fixed, but if you are interested in it I will make you a good deal.  The retail on it was $1400.  I'm sure there are many different ones on the market now.
