Anymore thoughts on depreciation? I bought a 2H all Aluminum recently but am considering buying a steel framed aluminum skin that has a better configuration for me. The problem I am having i my mind is that the 2H alum is in terrific shape and cost 3K less than the Hawk I am looking at buying..... The Hawk is a year older and has a little rust here and there (wheels, underside of the frame on the outside pieces (not the cross pieces - they look galvanized). So it seems that a $17K trailer 5 years later is only worth 10K? In another 5 years, it'd be worth 6K or maybe even less?

I've noticed here online and here around home that the trailer prices are up and down, one month it'll be an outrageous price for a used trailer, then they come back down. Guess it depends on the price of steel at the time from what I'm looking at around here. When steel goes up so do the steel trailers, vice versa with aluminum..................

I do not think that you can even compare the resale of an alluminum trailer vs a steel framed... the alluminum trailer will always hold its value better - especially after a few years...when the rust starts to kreep in. and its not if but when...
