I used some that I got from the RV store.  They slid over the mirror, then you tightened them with a plastic screw thing.  When they were on, they looked like they were part of the mirror assembly itself.  I never took them off the whole time I owned that truck, them gave them to a friend when I traded.  She loves them too.

 I HATE THE CLIP-ON MIRRORS!!!!

They would "vibrate" the whole time on the freeway. Mine were hard to get on    correctly for some reason. Want to buy my old ones? They are for an '02 GMC 3/4 ton. Might fit other years too?

I finally bit the bullet and just had installed real towing mirrors on my '02.

I had the slide on type on my ram they fit ok but they vibrated so bad that you couldn't stand to lookout them.

Mine never vibrated.  Maybe not the same kind.

I have the CIPA mirrors.  They are great.  No vibration at all.  I know factory tow mirrors are much better, but for $20.00 bucks on eBay and in like new condition.... I will take it.
