Thanks

Not enough gas pressure? Bad regulator? Bad thermocouple? Pinched gas line? Empty tank? Plugged line? Bugs like to live in the small gas orfices and plug things up. Disconnect the line and blow it out with air to see if its clear.

9 out of 10 times it will be the thermocoupler, it's a cheap fix, you should never blow air backwards through your gas system.

If it's an Atwood or Suburban Water heater they should be available at any RV store, or on Ebay. There are a number of RV stores that have set up stores on E-bay. I have dealt with a few of them and the service is outstanding.

You can purchase annodes at plumbing stores, Lowes and Home Depot. They sell them by standard sizes that include most RV applications.

I'm always here to help a guy out, if I know something about it.

If I don't know, I stay out of it.

You can blow out any gas line by first disconnecting each end. Then apply pressure to the appliance end blowing towards the gas pressure source. If you were to blow the other way, any lodged substance could be more firmly emplaced.

You shouldn't pressurize any system with a connected valve or diaphragm type of regulator. They can be damaged by any excessive pressure. If the line you are purging is connected to multiple appliances, it is necessary to isolate them to avoid damaging them as well.
