I just got my hay rack and ladder from 4 star! The day I got it, I got the front end loader and put it up there.. My question is do you rivet it? Weld it?? What?? It came with no instructions!! Also, which rear door is best for the ladder?? I have a full length awning, and drops on the head and hip! So the rear doors are my only option! Any and all advice is appreciated! Thanks Dan

I have a 4 Star with a hayrack. My ladder is on the drivers side near the back of the trailer. This is my 6th 4 Star trailer and 5 of the ladders have been in the same place. My stock trailer had it on the curb side back corner. I don't think I have ever seen a 4 Star with the ladder on a back door.

I believe my hayracks were welded on but the ladder was bolted. I would call a 4 Star dealer to ask. Several of them have cell #'s listed in their ads.

My hayrack is welded with the ladder attached on the curb side of the body. I don't think I would want a ladder attached to a door. It would be very hard on the hinges which would ultimately suffer.

Ours has:  Hayrack welded, ladder at rear on driver side, bolted.   Good luck with your new goodies!  We have a very long awning, but it does have room at the end for the ladder....

Mine is bolted with a 3/8" stainless bolt with washers top and bottom with a lock nut (not a nylon type) on the bottom. There are 6 bolts, 1 each corner, and 1 in the middle on each side. The ladder is bolted on too.

edited to add;

I would call 4-Star and ask them how they recommend fastening it.
