I have a filly that is getting eaten alive from mosquitos.  I use the repel X on her at dusk even making it more concentrated.  None of the other horses are getting bit as much as she is.  Has anyone been successful by feeding garlic to the horses?  What about the Wendal herbs garlic lick? Anything to give her some relief.

I have been told by others that they use the garlic for flies with great success. Good chance it may work for mosquitos too.

Good luck with her.  I've got a mare that is the same way.   I've yet to find a spray that will help her.  Deep woods off or a sheet soaked with fly/mosquito spary work the best.  I've given up on fly sprays.

I just checked your profile.  You know my mare.  Wrangler.  Did you see her chest?  Or was it not all rubbed off and lumpy when you kept her for me?  The flys (and this heat cycle) are killing her.  You have mosquitoes over there?

I should have called you and asked.  But mother-in-law made a suprise visit and is staying til Sunday.  Then I have to go to Santa Fe as my mom is ill just got discharged from hosp.  Anyway Lilly is just horrible.  This morning was a little better after super spraying her last night.  As for Wrangler and her heat cycle here, since the four mares were all in season at the same time I really didn't notice other than her face loosing hair.

Poor Lilly.  Try the OFF.  It has really helped Wrangler.  Her face lost hair and all down her neck and chest.

I love those suprise visits.  My mother-in-law is in El Paso and calls as she gets into town to see if were home.  You would figure with gas as high as it is she would call before she leaves home.  I hope you moms feeling better.

Were going to El Paso tomorrow.  Some friends from our last station are there.  He has to get his K-9 instructor recertification.

Wrangler seems to be back to normal.
