Just got a call from neighbor that their horses are in distress. They are on the other side of creek and trying to get home. Not safe to try and help them. Tried calling them a 6:00 to warn them of possible danger but got no answer. Guess I better go try to assist anyway. They are new to horses.

Good points, I am not gloomy doomy about the long term outlook for overall life in America. Yes fuel prices are high and probably won't be a buck a gallon again... but we will adapt. My **small** worry is that I am buying high, right before the bottom falls out of the horse trailer (newer used) market triggered by high gas prices. People who are so-so about horses will decide it is all too much money. They are already giving away their horses in some parts of the country.
Right now, I can't find good newer used 2H trailers for anything less then brand new quite frankly. The market forces seem to be keeping prices high for that niche. I was just wondering if people expected the bottom to fall out of the trailer prices soon. Sounds like probably not with the 2H market - right where I am shopping!

I have noticed several ads lately that had larger LQ trailers or large 5,6,7,8 horse trailers for sale along with the truck that was used to pull it. Somewhere in the ad there would be the phrase... "getting out of horses, trail riding, showing, etc." Seems, I'm seeing more and more of these ads.
