Make sure you get the kind with zippers, the solid ones are difficult to work around. The screens definitely reduce the amount of strong winds blowing into the horse's faces. They are a welcome addition to our trailers.

Just bought our screens at Congress last fall. Haven't installed them yet. We have drop-downs but I was afraid of traveling with them open due to the possibility of debris or stones flying at the horses. We bought the ones with zippers. We've decided, however, to install them upside down so we can reach the "pull tab" on the zipper to get at the horses from outside. Not tall enough to reach top of the window to pull down the zipper.

Screens WITH zippers.... absolute necessity for drop downs. Get them to fit the windows as best as possible (some of them run a little short). Mine are about and 1 1/2 inches too short, top and bottom, but they provide quite a bit of protection. I'm waiting to see pics of one of our other board members who is making theirs. I want to make some in colors....

I am sure this has probably been posted before but I am kinda lazy today. Do you folks have a company that you have found to carry the screens. What kinda money do they get for them. I have been meaning to build my own drop down bars for some time now. This particular project seems to keep getting pushed to the bottom of the honey-do list. Screens would be a fairly quick and simple fix. Thanks

We are a dealership in southern California. We keep the zipper screens in stock. They run $35.50 plus tax each and include the brackets which you install with your own self-tapping screws. The screens have velcro tabs that run through the brackets to hold them on. You can call our service department at our toll-free number (888) 809-8887 and speak with our parts manager, Russ. We will need measurements of your window openings to make sure these screens will fit. If they will not fit your opening, we can have some made specifically for your trailer. We can ship directly to you. Excellent quality and since we began selling them about 10 years ago, we have only heard of one occurrence where a horse destroyed one while trying to jump through the drop down window opening.
