Does anyone have a general idea of what the cost to put a hay pod would be say for instance a seven ft wide trailer? We have been unable to find a four horse trailer that we like and in our price range, so we are looking at the possiblity of going with a three horse and maybe add a hay pod on top for storage. The main reason for the fourth stall was going to be for storage anyway.

Do a search for hay racks. A while back several threads were posted on this subject, and one of the respondents was a fabricator who built custom racks

Covered hay pods will run $1600-$2500, Hay racks will run $700-$1200. Check with trailer dealers for cash and carry and installed pricing. Best ones I've seen are Bloomer, Elite and Platinum

A lot of it depends on where you get it.  Check out www.coolhorse.com, they are about the only place I have found with their prices on their website.
