Terrific scenes, can't wait to go riding in Mo.
Thanks, I'm just sitting here watching this terrible weather and hoping Spring is around the corner. Are you getting much ice? Hope we don't lose our electricity.

Just let us know what would be good for you. I may have to go to Springfield next Friday but usually we're able to go anytime. I'm sooo ready to get started riding. Chilton will be good this time of year as most everywhere else will be so muddy.

Yes,we can't wait to go toChilton! We'll be off Easter weekend Fri,Sat and Sunday, maybe if you're around,we'll try for then? Dogwoods should be pretty up there if it warms up some! Ice falling here tonight.I know my horses would be grateful for their blankets if they could think that way!
I'd be grateful for a barn or a shed for them, myself! Maybe this year we can throw up something. We'll "holler" at you,as we say down here.(You know how us Arkies talk.)

Made a day trip to Fremont MO today; just looking around. Came thru Doniphen (I think) on the way back. Is it on US 60? Anyway, can a couple of West TN whatevers join you?
Also if anyone is interested, we had a weimaraner (sp?) walk up yesterday; body condition score about 1, but with rice, milk, fish oil etc (talked to vet yesterday about her) I hope she will be ok. Looks to be about 2 years old, female, very friendly, loving, does not appear to have been mistreated other than on her own for a long time. She would make a wonderful companion I think. I really cannot keep her; already have 2 beagles, 1 lab, 2 great pyrenees, 1 fiest (all adopted, long, long story). So please someone email me and adopt her.

Doniphen,MO is on 142 highway. It runs east/west.East of Doniphen it comes out on 67 that runs up to Popular Bluff,MO.
The area that we are wanting to go riding with "pooperscooper" soon is north of there, off of 60.60 runs east and west.It will go east from Popular Bluff,MO to Willow Springs,MO and go north to Springfield MO from there.
We are wanting to ride up at a little spot not even on the map called "Chilton." But we could meet up at Doniphen first.
Are you guys still going down to Village Creek at Wynne in April? WOuld like to meet up with you there.

Paintedhorseluver,
We have Quarter Horses and Paints.
Rose, Highway 160 runs thru Doniiphan, it is about 25 miles South of Highway 60 which is the highway thru Fremont. Chilton is probably 15 miles East of fremont.
Where in Tennessee do you live? We'd be glad to ride with you. Hard to believe it's March, it's snowing like crazy here.

CRG, I just figured that Rose might have gotten 160 and 60 confused and yes you are also right as 142 goes thru Doniphan too.
Rose you drove down J highway, did you see the signs for the Irish Wilderness? There is some good riding there also. So if you came back on 160 did you come thru a little town called Fairdealing? We live there about 1/2 mile off of the highway. Small world.

CRG, Wow, yep we know ole Lonnie. Did you know his wife ran off and left him for some guy that's been in the pen? And the Fagan's, ha, my hubbie rode their racehorses for years and yep I bet you can tell some stories on them. Can't wait to hear them. Are you sure you aren't from around here?

Well, the law is I believe a 30 day health certificate but we've never been asked for one in MO,even when we go to public rides.but you know you will have to have coggins, naturally. So be sure you've got it with you.
You probably weren't too far from me,but, the Ridge runs from New Madrid,MO all the way down to Helena.AR.It's a strange piece of topography, and you can see it distinctly on a topographical map. There is only one other place in the world with this type of soil.Crowley's Ridge has its' own website.
