I'm looking at a trailer that doesn't have head dividers. It's a 98 a trailer so is it possible to still get the head dividers installed? Does anyone know about how much it would cost?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but this is going to be my first trailer and while I don't plan to haul two horse often when I do they most likely won't know each other. If someone could help me out that would be great.

You are not telling us much about the trailer, where there dividers in the trailer originally? If there were dividers in the trailer originally then there will be attaching points, so you will only need the dividers. If the trailer was made without dividers, that is a different story. Will there be a upright support at the place you would like a divider (head and butt).

I second the fabricator idea. Also, now is a good time to decide if you want a solid headpiece or a tubed headpiece. I like the tubed ones because they are like jail bars and let the light in through the trailer. I figured if I needed a solid one, I could make a canvas cover for it and tie it onto the divider. Seems the nervous horses like to see the other horse. You can probably go online to some of the trailer sites (I got my tubed one from trailet) and get an idea of spacing or take the picture to the person so they know about how close to space the bars.
