The retail cost for factory install of WERM into an 18' x 7'6" x 8' trailer has gone up to $1,288.00. While I wait for a reply from the Rumber people, does anyone here know the approximate cost to install a Rumber floor in the same size trailer? And what about aftermarket install of WERM? Haven't quite made up my mind what to do here ... I would like one or the other - I think it would make life much easier - but am not sure which is best. The Rumber has a much more robust warranty but the WERM install sounds cheaper and simpler. Help??? Thanks!

I have WERM and I LOVE it! Although it is texturized for no-slip grip, it is a continuous surface, with no nooks and crannies for poop and such to get stuck in. Rumber is more like tounge and groove and stuff can kind of get stuck in the crevices. Otherwise, I would expect them both to perform about the same.

I had a trailer for 11 years that had a rumber floor and you just hose it out - the lines are so small only some sand gets in it and that is easily hosed out. I haven't seen a WERM floor, but my understanding is it's a coating, right? Rumber is thick sheets of rubber flooring - it won't wear out, get thin, etc.

But they are two toally different products. WERM will replace rubber matting in virtually any trailer. RUMBER is a different type of actual flooring material thet must be designed into the trailer. So if you want RUMBER, then you should look for someone that uses RUMBER such as Dream Coach, Hawk, or Kiefer Built Evolution. But it is not practical to install it into just any trailer.

Gotcha - thank you!!! I got to see a couple of trailers with WERM flooring today and am satisfied that I will like it. I know I'd like Rumber also, but the trailers I'm currently looking at don't do Rumber.

I have WERM and will NOT own another trailer without it or Rumber.
Rumber can be put in a current trailer but it would be a major job, the current floor will have to come out and the Rumber planks put in, much like putting a deck on your house, tongue and groove system, but it would have to be slid under edges of trailer, again as I said a major project.
Whether on a new or existing trailer, installing a more durable and more desirable Rumber® floor is simple, providing a convenient and sensible flooring choice for the livestock industry.

I agree, it would be a job. But if you have a wooden floor it's gonna have to be replaced sooner or later anyway so it might as well be done right once. When I replace mine that is what I'm going to go with.

On the Werm floors, do they usually put the Werm coating up the walls a few inches? If so, what do they do about the rubber mats on the walls and the floor area under the mangers and tack area?
How thick is the Werm coating when installed? I have seen where people say you don't need the rubber floor mats. Will it hold up to the pawing of a nervous horse?
We are in the East Texas area, does anyone in this area install Werm?
We are concerned about the Alum. for in our trailer, which is still in good condition.

I'm in East Texas as well and would love to have WERM put in my trailer. However, the closest plac is Oklahoma City. You would think somebody in Texas, as many trailers as there are, would be installing it. It is a long trip to Oklahoma City!
