So I think my boy really would like a stock trailer -alas I have no $ to buy one and really can't be without a trailer so selling the one I have outright might not be a possibility.
So I've been thinking Shocked
Do you think a dealer would trade my 93 Aluminum 3 horse BP w/DR for a stock trailer w/ DR?
I *think* I could sell my trailer for 5k and have seen the corn pro stocks for ~4k....
I know I should just ask a dealer but thought I would get HTW opinions first  :)

I LOATHE the hassle of selling!

Your trailer might be worth more than that.

If they will swap with you...you can be sure your trailer is worth more than the one they give you...

Every trailer has a wholesale & a retail value. If the wholesale value of the one you are selling to someone equals the retail value of the one they are selling to you, then they'll swap. And yes, they'll then spend time marketing their "new" trailer to earn the retail price. And take the inherent risks any businessman takes in a sale...:)

We've purchased two trailers and sold one through Horse Trailer World. Saved a lot of money by not paying dealer mark ups. The buying/selling process is easy; best to know what you are looking for before you get there; and know what you are looking at when you arrive.

Used trailers are like used cars, the original owner pays the most in depreciation. No matter how it looks expect to pay for some repairs or improvements when you get it home.

Best of luck
