We would like to put a 2 burner stove top in our livingquarters. Do you have to also put in a exhaust fan? We don't really have room under the upper cabinet to put an exhaust fan but we don't want to decrease the the resale value of the trailer by doing something wrong. We don't have a problem with a gas line because there is one already going to the hot water heater.

Sorry, I don't know.

I have a portable electric 2 element burner. I just store it under the cabinet untill I need it and then put it on the counter and plug it in. That way its not in the way when I am not using it. I think it cost about $20 from walmart.

I have had three LQs with exhaust fans and never used them while cooking. However, the vent does provide an outlet for the gas fumes and food smells even if not turned on. Another drawback to not having one is make sure there is plenty of clearance under your cabinet so you do not start a fire with the flame and heat to close to the wood. Also the exhaust fan metal area helps keep grease etc. from collecting on the underside of the cabinet and causing discoloration.

Thanks for all information. I didn't think of electric burner, I looked at the Coleman website and you can get a portable gas 2 burner that folds up. I don't think about heat or grease build. I guess we will stick with our Coleman portable grill w/one burner on the side.
