Have you called Silver Star? I see their website is down. Are they still in business? I don't remember seeing any new 2007 or 2008 trailers listed anywhere. I have a 2000 but my door handle has a chrome paddle latch handle type deal, you may can pick one up at a RV retail outlet.

several yrs. ago I had to replace the DR door handle on my '99 SilverStar. I called the company and they sent it right out. I don't know what their situation is now but even if the factory is closed I think they still have someone (Betsy) answering the phones who could probably get the part out to you.

Wow, that must have been some door handle. I had my door latch replaced at an RV place and I think they charged around $25 for the latch and $10 to install it. I was having other small stuff done at the same time.-Betty
