Looking for info on the two places above as we are planning a trip there next April. I have the details, want to know opinons on trails, facilities, etc

i have been to lakeview. it's nice. really nice people run it. camping is super too. but i would recommend you only go in the winter months. the horse and deer flys were AWFUL. we went labor day last year. it was so bad we came home a day early. the riding we could do was only along the roads because in the woods the biting flys were way too bad to enjoy the trails. dont need shoes on your horses either. sandy trails everywhere. i imagine baxton is the same because they are close to each other.

Thanks for the info. We're going the first week in April, so hopefully the flies won't be out yet. Good news about the footing as my horse is barefoot, though I carry boots just in case.
