i have a sundowner trailer with living quarters. up in the closet next to the bed is an area that has fuse holders, an outlit and a small power converter? it has a cord that is not pluged into the outlit. should i plug it in and what does this do? i have gone through the owners manual and just not sure. once again i am having problems with my fridge running on electric. it was working fine and now it won't work on electric-only gas. one dealer told me that i shouldn't run the fridge on electric-it screws up the system. i asked him then why have it.

In my experience, the power converter should be bear the entry of the 120v cord. It doesn't plug into anything. Nor does in have an outlet. I'd have the dealer or an RV shop take a look at it.
