I just purchased a new Coleman Hot Water On Demand! It's a portable hot water heater that runs off propaine!  You can purchase a shower adapter and use it as a shower, it also has a faucet to do whatever you want ( no more boiling water for the dishes)!  It's going to make my camping experience a little easier!  No more bagged shower for me!  I'm glad to see people posting positive things on this forum.

sounds cool!  where did you find it?  I'm getting a new trailer soon and want to fix up the 6x9 DR but probably just w/  seating and storage places, and maybe a fold down table.  don't really want  to mess with plumbing and running water so something like that would be perfect.

I saw them first on Colemans website for $180.00, but found one at BIMART for $130.00 and didn't have to pay shipping. I too just ordered a new trailer and had it lined and insulated in the front dressing room (5x10) I can't justify a living quarter. I just wanted a insulated trailer that I can put a few cabinets in it, and sleep comfortably! I'm going to buy a propaine alarm, and use my buddy heater to warm it up! Good luck with your trailer, and happy trails!

I also bought the HWOD a year or so ago. I love it when it's cloudy out, or for that cup of tea/coffee in the a.m., but I still use my Solar Shower when the sun's out. I don't know why exactly, but I guess that eh-eh-eh-eh-eh sound the pump makes bugs me a bit. I'm an old backpacker too, so I think simple, easy and lightweight. What I do absolutely love is filling my hot water bottle at night using the HWOD. It makes cold nights w/o the hubby so much more enjoyable!

I bought the walmart version. It has to have water "running" through it, it would get too hot if it sits. can someone explain how the coleman works?? I haven't used my walmart one yet (just got it), but if coleman has better features (like a thermostat), I will return mine and get a coleman. I only paid 100 dollars for mine (hoses included).
Any advice is appreciated!!
I want to know before I use it and wish I had the coleman!
