I am ordering a two horse straight load gooseneck with a side unload ramp. The horse trailer will be 8ft tall by 8ft. wide and the horse area is the standard 7 ft. with a 3 ft. feed bag area. In front of the feed bags are two stud doors . The side unload ramp area is seven feet long.
The reason I made it seven feet long is for my quad and hay. With the stud doors it can be converted into two box stalls.
My question is a 7 foot by 8 foot box stall large enough? The other one would measure 10 feet by 8 feet.
I know some of you such as reg have a 4 horse head to head so your opinion would be greatly appreciated! 51
Anything else you wished you had on your trailer or the tings you are really glad you got? 50
Thanks!

7X8 should be fine unless you have a really large horse, even then it should be ok I would think. I have a 7X8 stall in my trailer where the side ramp is and it's fine for horses turning as they back out of their side by side slots to go down the ramp. I've carried two horses in the large stall and there is room for three as long as none of them are really big. Mine is a 3 horse rear facing side by side plus the stall so I can carry 6 if I want to.
