Looking for a little info on microchips for horses.  I asked my vet and he said he can put one in but I would have to find order one.  Does anyone know where?  Or have any other info that would be helpful? Thanks!

Here's a link: http://www.avidmicrochip.com/ I'm sure there would be other vet's in your area that will do it for you. I have all three of my horses "chipped". My vet already had the stuff. I went to get one of my horse chipped, and it turned out she was already done. My vet charges about $45 to do it including the chip.-Betty

I bought mine from AVID also. You can put them in yourself if you can give an injection. There are instructions on where to put it that comes with the microchip. It is about the size of a grain of rice and injects with a large needle, just like giving a vaccine.
