I ran a search on this one with no luck. Beginning to give some serious thought into planning the LQ for our trailer but got to thinking about the floor and its construction.

The trailer has an 8X12 dressing room area. The wood floor planks run the full 18' of the box length over the cross members, from stem to stern, no splices. So then, if we go ahead and finish the floor in the LQ area and down the road if/when the stall area boards may need replacing, wouldn't we have to tear up the LQ floor as well? Has anyone run into this before?

I was thinking we could weld additional angle-iron crossmembers at the point where the LQ wall separates the horse area, to support the ends of new boards as well as the original ones under the LQ -- it if it has to be cut free later on. Has anyone dealt with this?

(Note: Helps to have welders in the family.)
