Hey yall
We are redoneing my 4h hart 8ft sw,into a living quarters trailer, My question is we were going to put paneling up but we are afraid the trailers flexs to much for that(is that correct?) I have looked at alot of trailers on here and it looks like a type of vinyl. Plz help we are trying to this done before rodeo season starts again any comments or opinions is welcomed.

Lots of folks appear to be doing do-it-yourself living quarters, and are indeed using wooden panels, seemingly with no problems.
I'd go with the interior that suits you the best. Wood panels are nice because they're easy to clean, but Lowe's/Home Depot sell some sort of stuff that works, too. Personally, I don't want to get the "RV" feel when I walk into my trailer--gotta be wood for me, at least on the lower half of the walls.

We put carpet over the insulation and just love it. It acts as an extra layer of insulation against temperature as well as sound. Some camps can be noisy and it is a wonderful thing to be able to go inside and sleep without being disturbed.

my trailer has a 4x7 DR. we started by putting insulation inbetween the metal slats (or whatever they are called) insulation is about 1/2 " thick w/ alum. backing on both sides. just cut it to fit and press it in. then a friend put plywood sheets over everything, then put shelves and cabinets in. I stained all the wood and it looks pretty nice, much better than some of the factory LQ trailers, in my opinion. The plywood is thick and heavy and I've never had any problems caused by the trailer flexing or any kind of movement.

I have a Hart with 4ft SW and I have paneling and never have had a problem with ours. I'd say you shouldn't have a problem either. I do endurance and let say some of the camps I've been to, if the trailer flexed enough to mess up my paneling then it should've done it already.

I have a 99 Exiss with Tougue and Groove Pine paneling. Yes, it is wood but instead of being big, thin sheets of paneling it is a thicker, material in smaller strips. You wouldn't know unless you looked real hard that it wasn't a full sheet of paneling. I haven't had any trouble with mine at all.

Mike - we bought remnants form the local carpet store and put it up with silicone caulk. We were lucky to find enough of the same carpet to do the whole thing but you could go with a couple of different complimenting colors.
