We spent last weekend at Willow Creek in western KY. We had a terrific time! The camp was nice and the food in the restaurant was good. The trails were great...challenging but not too tough. Lots of hills to climb and water to cross and the colors were beautiful. I was glad I learned to use my GPS though, the map was pretty useless. We talked to a guy who works down there and he said he is in the process of remapping the trails using a GPS so the map will be more accurate.
"Rose" and her fella came up to join us and another couple. We got a few pictures but not as many as I would have liked because I was busy fiddling with the GPS.
The firewood provided by the camp arrives in long slabs. Fortunately, we had been told of this and brought a chainsaw and an axe. I think the guys enjoyed playing Paul Bunyon in the woodpile.
My only disappointment with the camp was the bath house. It needed a good scrubbing!
We're headed to Long C on the KY/TN border for the weekend before Thanksgiving. See you there Rose! Can't wait!!!
Okay, I'm going to try to attach some photos...wish me luck! RIDE ON!

I had heard that rumor before we went down there and asked them about it. The folks in charge down there told me there is no truth to it and they don't know how the rumor got started. Seems to me if they were going to close down or even sell out, they wouldn't be going to the trouble of remapping the trails.
We didn't make it to Long C this weekend. The weather forecast was calling for cold and drizzle. And my job was not thrilled with me taking any more time off...so...here I sit. If anybody made it down there, I sure would like to hear about it.

Only made it as far as Natchez Trace; however took "Two Time" on his very first camping trip. He was 2 years old on Oct 9. Very proud of my boy. He behaved like he'd been doing this for years.
