Hi Folks - I'm looking at this model trailer - very slightly used.  It would be our first trailer, and we plan to use it for mostly short haul trips around CT with our 16h Standardbred.  Does anyone have experience with this model?  I know it's Featherlite's basic series, however it should be fine for what we need.  I'm interested to see if anyone has had one and what they thought of it's construction and ease of use, and how well they haul.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Let's cancel this question - I just called Featherlite, and found out their warranty is not transferable... Jeez - seems like the warranty is a bit "lite" as well.  That pretty much puts an end to this trailer for me.

That's too bad the owner is selling it so soon.  I shopped around for a trailer this year and found that quite a few of the larger brands don't have transferrable warranties.  I ended up buying a Featherlite.  I know Featherlites keep their value well, maybe you could get a new one for about the same money and you'd get the warranty.

I think you're right - I think the trailer is only about $1000 less than a truly new - Not that there is much to go wrong, but I'd rather have the warranty.

Thanks,

Steve

Tom - No Problem with the trailer.  It sold for $7600, and I didn't think that was enough of a "bargain" for me to buy a used 2006 vs. a new 2006 for about $1000 more.  If the warranty was transferable I probably would have been more inclined to make the deal.  After calling Featherlite I found out their warranty is to the original purchaser only.
