We usually make it to Hocking once a year. We have a group planned for early October this year. The trails are about whatever you want, although most are a bit above beginner. There are several campgrounds to choose from, including the state park horsecamp. We're staying at Three Reasons, which unfortunately is closing to the public. What in particular would you like to know?

I have heard great things about the riding at Three Reasons.  Are they currently still open to the public?  We are going on vacation the first week in October and would like to ride there for a few days.  We are in Southern IN about 5 hours from Hocking Hills.  I noticed that the state forests do not take reservations and are on a first come/first serve basis.  Any other campgrounds around close to the scenic riding?  We ride about 25-30 miles of rugged terrain a day on gaited horses.  I have the visitor guide to Hocking Hills that they sent me.  Thanks!
