Did you say Dressage ?!? (slight giggle) Yeah, sure, I'll be there, look for the cowboy wearing a broke down ole Resistol and Buckaroo boots with his bow-tie and puffy-shirt (like on Seinfield) LOL. Don't think I'll make that one RPonies, if you realy have to go, have fun, and drive careful. P.S. check the rules for me, please, will I be able to leave my lariat tied to my kack? Just funin' ya.----

You will enjoy this one:
years ago Wifey was going to dressage clinic in Santa Fe. From DFW we overnighted in Amarillo at the fairgrounds (didn't know about the Happy Track Horse Motel at that time) We arrived at 1:00 AM in a Brenderup trailer with a 16.3 warmblood. The night watchman looked at us, looked at the trailer, looked at the horse, looked at the trailer, looked at the horse, looked at us and said very slowly " . . . Yaul aren't here for the ropin' are ya?"
It was a classic moment.
PS Brokebit, don't laugh too hard. We don't laugh at all the weekend cowboys.

Yup, that's a good one. Must have been kinda like the worlds largest can of sardines! lol And go ahead and laugh at all those weekend cowboys....I do! To each there own. At least your partners are getting attention and being used, more that I can say for lots of poor old, bored outta there minds, neglected stock I've seen. AND look on the bright side---they're not Arabians! catch ya later...

Whoa, easy big feller, I was just kiddin' with ya. You know, cause not many cowboys ride arabians, no offense meant! yikes. I'll be the first to admit that Arabians have practically unmatched stamina, they have there place for sure, if you like them that's great. Have fun at your dressage show with whatever kind of partners your ridin'. Talk to ya later...
Did anyone else think that I came acrost like an ass or was it just read wrong? I THOUGHT that you R.P. had a sense of humor, what with the whole BlueMoon trailer trip and all. I do appologize proper if I offended you in any way, RollinPonies.

Ah, you could of had such fun with that night watchman.... The proper reply would have been, "Ayup, when them dogies hit the end of a rope dallied to this old boy's saddle, they stop!"

Yep, maybe Rollin read it wrong. I was getting ready for round two of yet another entertaining post from Rollin. Oh, well, it's easy to get your wires crossed every once in a while.

If Rollin Ponies is going to attend a dressage show that his wife is riding in, he gets my vote for husband of the week. I did that for twenty-five years, many of em' without beer. It's a great spot for the participants. But, for the loyal husbands, it's a little slower than watching paint dry. Not exactly as much fun as pokin' fun at weekend cowboys. I gotta say that those dressage horses and riders are immpressive.
By the way, I rode a half-arab (arab X standardbred) for most of those years. Best horse I ever had. We rode together for so long that we even thought together. Contrary to popular opinion, we never did look alike. Even from the rear.

I'd rather watch paint dry than watch a halter class. THAT is the most boring thing in the world! And, Rollin, supporting your wife in the thing she loves to do is just plain smart! Good for you!
