Has anyone had a problem with the windows in their trailer not having tempered glass in them? It seems that on my Sooner ('88) only the fixed panel is tempered, the sliding panel is not. Any suggestions of how to fix this? Sharp Shards of glass was not a good thing inside the trailer.

Unfortunately it did break. Horse kicking the wall in the trailer was all it took. The glass shattered into long shards, not the little squares that tempered would. I had glass both in the trailer and out on the ground!! what fun that was. Luckily he didn't get glass in his feet or have any cuts. When I got home I looked and the fixed panel is marked tempered, but the sliding panels are not... very strange I thought. This is the same for all windows in the trailer including the ones by the bed in the Gooseneck.

We had to replace one of my sliders (which all my windows are tempered) due to vandalism. I called the manufacturer and they sent me a new one for free. Hubby replaced it fairly quickly, so I assume it was easy. I would call your dealership (or manufacturer) and tell them what happened and if there is any way they could replace it with a tempered one since you are concerned about safety. Be prepared to also give them the size of the window and the size of the glass.

Thanks for the tip... i will contact sooner and find out what they think. I know replacing the sliders with tempered glass will be expensive though. Anyone have any thoughts on replacing with plexiglass??
