My first Congress in Ohio and wow! I have to say . . . VERY impressive. I've never seen so many different trailers on display in one location. It's possibly the biggest show (horse trailer) on earth.
Flew into Columbus, OH where I met Mr. Truck, Kent Sundling. I rented the car, he rented the electric cart. And three days later I flew home.
Summary: Trailers are getting heavier, trucks are getting bigger . . . . and after listening to Mr. Truck chatting with guys like Larry Roberts with Western Hauler, Curt Kennely-owner of Classy Chassis and Johnny Red from Freightliner Sport Chassis . . . . well . . . . I was impressed. The Truck Man knows his stuff.
Thanks to everyone we met . . . . check out the pictures. Click here

You have me all excitd now. We are going Tomorrow (friday) and Saturday. I am so excited. I am in the "used" trailer shopping mode. Figured all those Rich people traded their barely used trailers in for the new ones... might get a good deal. Did you see any dealers with Used trailers???
:) Glad you had a blast... so does that mean you are going for a full week next time??

Dave, I enjoyed the pictures, thanks. I have a question on the one picture "Sneak Preview of a new trailer from Leonard Trailers". Is that a basement model trailer? What a great idea. I bet you won't pull that with a 3/4 ton. Any idea what it weighs?

It's a Cimarron. That is their big (no pun intended) entry into the market. It's been under wraps. Call Randy Smith, GM for Leonard Truck & Trailer 888-626-1623. He's baby sitting it at the show. Here's an actual picture sent to me today from Ben Jansen at Cimarron HQ as they were setting up.

WOW! That is pretty impressive! With the height of that trailer they could elevate the horses enough to get a set of tandem duals under it instead of those tire eating triples. While they are at it might as well get a full air bag set-up just like the big boys.

Thanks for the clarification Lonnie. The guy sitting there was wanting to buy the trailer. I told him "good choice" and asked if he'd like to model for a shot at the bar. Don't know if he ended up buying it or not.
Yes . . . the interior of the Sooner was awesome. Who did it?

I got the tour of the "Trailer" that Leonard Truck and Trailer had as a model. It was amazing... 50 some inch flat screen tv, dual electric awnings. In motion Sattelite, washer/dryer... I am talking MAJOR NICE! I fell in love, then fell out of the trailer on the price!
There were a TON of nice trailers and conversions. :( Too bad I didn't find one in my price range.

Ah yes, the "Cricket"...they're really great...I own one...will haul my Dog, Me, my Trainer, and Cooler...and I can lead my Reining Horse when riding the "Cricket"...I have gotten lots of use out of my Cricket at shows this year...if you need additional info, just let me know...I live about an hour from the company. Thanks...
Carol Rushton at Rick's designed the little "critter"...it is absolutely great for scooting around at horse shows...I do everything with mine...move tack, haul hay, run errands, lead my horse, ride the "chillun", etc...let me know if you need any info...Thanks...
