I recently got a '78 Stidham 2h trailer....overall it is in good shape. BUT, along the roof piece where it is riveted on, it is rusted thru is some spots. does anyone know if you can get replacement pieces or do we need to try to 'repair' this one??? Thanks for any help, this is our first trailer fix up attempt

Hi and welcome to the wonderful whacky world of horse trailer chat.
I doubt that you could get production parts such as a roof for a trailer of this age. If it is straighforward "sheet metal work" you can probably get a local auto body shop to make up a new roof for small money. I say this partly because it is likely to be only curved in one plane, so simple bending and rolling that can be done in a small shop would be all that is required.
