Our trailer has a mid tack (which works well and we really like), however, on looking at most trailers I notice the majority have a rear tack.  Was wondering peoples opinions etc. on the rear tack, if you need to get your horse(s) out quickly (ie an emergency) and your rear tack is full, does it create a problem or ???

As long as your horses know how to load and unload, you can still get them out quickly with a rear tack in place.  I like both rear and mid.  I keep my saddles and headstalls in the mid and hoses, longe whips, brush bags, fans, etc. in the rear tack (I have a shelf in it).  I prefer keeping my good equipment in the mid because the mid is connected to my LQ.

I also have both and couldn't live without either- mid tack is for clothing, rear is for tack.....

Thanks for your replies, this is our first trailer and have done only two trips (long ones at that!), just curious.  We have a four horse slant,  yet there is at least two feet from the last slant (when closed) to the back doors, already has bridle hooks, could either put a VERY small pony in there or perhaps a couple of collapsible saddle racks.  I now know it doesn't take much to fill a tack room!  Thanks again.
