Is there really a good black streak remover out there. I have tried so many products like simple green and black streak remover from wal-mart. Sometimes they do OK but if the streaks have been on the trailer any time I still have to scrub. And the black streaks still leave shadows. Hey while I'm at it how about tree sap and bugs too.

I just bought a product from Camping World called Streak Master. The service manager recommended it over everything else in the store. Streak Master did work great on my trailer with no effort at all on the black streaks. What amazed me about the product is that it cleaned my 8 year old white aluminum gutters that have never been cleaned before.
The bottle has www.streakmaster.com on it if you want to look at the product and there looks to be a lot of places to purchase, including online. Hope this helps.

Ordered the StreakMaster product myself a few years back from advice on this forum in fact, and had no luck with the streaking on a trailer I had. If you can catch the marks early it may work but mine had been on the trailer for awhile. Be sure to put a coat of wax on after. Helps to keep the streaks from sneaking back.
Another product I tried and worked better was called Mean Green. Bought it at a dollar store. Took some elbow grease though to really see any difference.

I tried Mean Green and a product from the Dollar Tree call Awesome. I had to scrub, plus they turned my trailer light yellow, that did go away by the days end. I don't know anything about Streak Master a few years ago, but I do know what it did for my 8 year old white aluminum gutter now. You should have seen the streaks and mess on that...Maybe they have changed the cleaner since you tried it.

The best solution(pun) I've found so far has been to STOP washing it down off the trailer's roof. I have aluminum roofs of both trailers, just about anything that is "detergent" washes the dark gray oxides off, known to some as "black streaks". Once disolved and washed away, the oxygen gets to the metal and it starts all over.
