My horse broke the cast aluminum tie ring on my CM Legacy trailer Sunday. I was introducing him to the clippers when he started pulling back. Unfortunately, the ring broke in two places. The bolts securing it to the trailer held. Where is the best place to get a replacement part? Does anyone make a tie ring out of steel that would bolt on?

Check with the dealer or just go down to the hardware store. My trailer didn't have a butt chain on the last stall and I wanted one so I bought 2 tie rings and a chain and made my own.

My horse did the same thing. I called my dealer (which is 2 1/2 hours away), and they sent me not just 1, but 4 replacement tie rings in case it happened again. All for free, including the shipping. 2 years later, I still haven't had to use the other 3.
