We just purchased a 2002 Silverstar trailer, and my husband has been trying to find an electric trailer jack on the internet. So far, we haven't had much luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try eBay. I put "electric trailer jack" in the search box and got about 15 listings including both auctions and "Buy It Now" listings. Also did a quick Google for "electric trailer jacks" and "powered trailer jacks" and got several sellers listed. Have fun--Good hunting.

Without knowing anyone's motivation for wanting/needing an electric jack, I'll offer this little tip for folk with recent bumper pull trailers;
The tongue jack (BullDog) on my bumper pull trailer has a grease fitting, but it is totally useless if you don't put so much grease in there that some of it just happens to hit the bevel gears. If you have a BullDog tongue jack on a recent bumper pull trailer and it has two long through bolts holding the cover on I suggest/recommend taking the cover off and greasing the bevel gears directly - it will be obvious why I said the grease fitting is useless (-:
Not that the little trailer's jack was wearing me out, but it IS a lot easier to raise now.

Electric jacks are nice,cheaper than the hydraulics,too.We got one because: when we looked at the LQ we bought,we tried cranking it up just for the heck of it.After about 10 minutes of cranking alternating with resting,and thinking we might have to see an orthopedic surgeon if we continued,we decided to opt for an electric jack.They installed a Lunde,and it works well.Better than we did at cranking on a 24' trailer.

Thanks, guys. My husband said he thinks he will just crank a while. We haven't been able to find one in our price range -- under $500.
We love our trailer even though it has the manual jack. It is worlds above our last trailer -- which was an old steel trailer with the tapered nose. Man, that thing was hard to get in and out of. This Silver Star has so much more room. We are so happy with it. We found it on Trailer World in North Carolina...we live in KY. The folks were great to work with. They even delivered it to our door. You can't beat that.
