I'm thinking about looking at a 2003 Sundowner 777 two horse, straight load. I just saw there are serious issues with some of the Sundowner trailers. The trailer seems to be several thousand underpriced. Is this trailer something I should avoid? It comes from a drier inland area but I live near Portland, OR., so lots of moisture even if kept under cover at my place.

If it is the value lite aluminum skin with a steel frame walk away. The powder coating absorbs moisture and the frames as usually severely rusted and need to be replaced. I had a 2003 737 that had to have the frame completely overhauled and repaired in 2011 even though it was very well cared for.

Hi, We have the same trailer but an '05. we've never had any issues what so ever with it. we get the safety done every year and all is well. we've used it for hauling hay, lawnmowers, etc aside from horses
