I know this has been covered before but can someone recommend the best way to fix this. I have done a lot of investigating and am somewhat confused especially about the insulation.I wanted a gooseneck but of course I had a very tight budget and a resistent husband. I did a lot of research and followed the advice of everyone who recommended buying an older high end brand trailer that had been maintained. I was very lucky and stumbled upon and bought a 93 4 Star 4 horse gooseneck. It had been owned by a mechanical engineer who is very particular about his trailers. In my 40 years of owning trailers, I have never had to deal with the condensation issue before. What do you recommend? I live in the humid Mid-Atlantic. If I paint the roof with Liquid Ceramic Insulated Coating, will that be enough to mostly eliminate the issue or should I also insulate the trailer?I am concerned with the heat in the trailer so if I should do both, what is the best insulation for keeping the trailer cool? Thank you in advance for all of your sage advice.

Condensation is caused when a warm moist air comes into contact with a cool metallic surface. The cooler air cannot hold as much moisture as the warm air and the collection of moisture is the result. The only recourse is to insulate the surface to prevent the inter reaction. Most people use the rigid foam insulation found in the home centers, to insulate the interior trailer's surfaces. The double foil faced products are the best. Painting a bare aluminum roof can greatly reduce the interior temperatures. If an interior insulation is applied, the need for a "ceramic" coating is negated. The actual insulating properties of these coatings are not as significant as is the white surface they provide. White paint is less expensive and works very well. Regardless if you insulate, you will find a significant interior temperature reduction during hot sunny weather, just by painting the roof. Another roof coating product to consider is a white elastomeric coating. An average sized trailer can be double coating for <$100. Not only will the roof temperatures be greatly reduced, but it resolves the problem of recaulking seams and roofing leakages. With age, it can be recoated without having to first remove the original coating.

Keeping the trailer well-ventilated will help alleviate some condensation but it will not stop condensation completely.

I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to answer my question.  This past week I had my trailer roof painted with Tropi-cool by Henry.  It made a huge difference in the trailer.  The guy who did the work was so impressed he painted the roof of his wife's EXISS 2+1 and has two other people who want their trailer roofs painted.
