I have a concern - we weighted my trailer's tongue weight empty and with horse in the trailer... my ball is rated at 600/6000 - tongue weight on the trailer empty is 464 and with the horse in the trailer tongue weight is 720... do I need to get a better rated ball.... I just don't want to risk putting strain on the ball or the hitch...

Which technique did you use? https://www.etrailer.com/faq-how-to-determine-trailer-tongue-weight.... did figure B. More info. 2 horse slant, trailer weighs 2360, horse that I will be hauling weighs 1001 roughly paper weight tape, not sure how accurate those are... Towing vehicle 2008 Chevy Avalanche.
