My husband and I are retired and I love to camp and ride. I take a few trips without him as he does not enjoy riding. I was considering getting a portable dish as when he does relax, he likes to watch TV. I don't know anything about them but I have seen them with other campers. We do have Dish network at home and I think I could get a package of "dish anywhere" or something like that. Any informations would be appreciated. Thanks

My wife has a Direct TV dish. I don't know much about it but I know on a few occasions she has had to call Direct TV and basically show that we moved to the campground for the duration of our stay in order to get enough channels. Then on the return trip home have our address changed back to our home

Dish has a piece of equipment called the "Tailgater" which will automatically lock on to satellites and connect you to Dish programming anywhere. You can also use a regular dish and manually direct it for reception....takes a little bit of time to do that. Google to find out prices for each....$50 manual....$450 automatic.

I have dish network in my living quarters trailer. Call dish and ask about dish for my RV. I believe it is about $5/month. It is quite easy to run. Just hook to power, turn on TV and receiver and give it about 15 min. to find satellites and down load program guide and you are ready to go.

I have a new portable Direct TV dish/cable/other pieces. It was used once to set up. It's for sale if anyone is interested for half the price + shipping. It was a gift and I'm not going to use it. I just need to clear the space.http://www.amazon.com/SL3S-Portable-Satellite-RV-Tailgating/dp/B00U6BMQ8W/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1442936283&sr=8-5&keywords=portable+direct+tv+for+tailgating
