I have a 2011 Hawk 2-H Gooseneck with living quarters and it was kept in a covered garage in Tennessee. After owning it 6 months, the sides have black streaks and I used "Awesome" dollar store cleaner to remove those, then spray-on wax afterwards. With all the rain and the heat and sun, I think it's going to be a good idea to invest in a cover. Does anyone have a good recommendation on what will protect the trailer from the elements? I have looked at one online Goldline Trailer cover for $500, and there is another for at Valley Vet for $209.

I have never owned a cover for mine but one thing that comes to my mind would be that it may flap in the wind, marking up the trailer. I think it would have to be pulled tight.

Because LQ trailers have many equipment configurations that sit on top of the roof, it's very difficult and expensive to have a custom cover constructed. Once it has been finished, it is not a simple matter to install or remove the cover. It has to be carefully set in place, and then pulled downward over its circumference. This requires standing on the roof and involving at least two people to effect. Removing the cover is just the reverse.A trailer without a LQ and having a smooth top surface, usually can have the cover pulled over and removed from the ground. If a non fitted cover is used over a LQ roof, the various vents and AC housing will eventually rip holes in the cover. A standing structure, if it's possible to install, is the best way to protect the trailer.
