I apologize if this has been discussed before. I have a 2004 Classic aluminum gooseneck with LQ. This weekend my roof vent in the bathroom broke off and i need to replace it. It sounds like a dumb question but do i need to be concerned about the roof holding my weight when replacing the vent? Do i need to do anything special to prevent damage to the roof? I know on RV's you can climb on them without issue but I thought I would check first on the trailer.

Pretty close to the middle actually. I would definitely work from a ladder but would have to put weight on the roof to get all the screws out of the old one and then back in on the new one.

To keep the roof from oil canning from your weight, kneel on a half a sheet of plywood supported by the roof bows to carry the weight. It can be easily moved about as needed. The roof structure is strong enough to carry a person's weight, but the sheeting may bend a bit,if you were to step off the underlying frames.
