I haven't seen a source for window bars for an aftermarket installation. I suspect they'd be pricey, so I'm curious on everyone's thoughts as to how worthwhile an investment this might be. We've never had them and have gotten along just fine. Are we missing out? Thanks for your comments

I just ordered and got mine, waiting for my neighbor to put them in. I got tired of dealing with the screens. I got them from:

Thanks for the great link, definitely need to do some shopping ;-). Wondering if yours is a Sundowner trailer; mine is a 2004 Star. I suspect there would be some retrofitting to be done, but the prices are much less than I'd expected. Thanks again for posting that link, looks very promising.

Yes mine is a Sundowner. Call them and talk to them to see if these fit. I called to assure I got the correct one. He was very nice.

You need to call 4 Star for bars. The Sundowner will fit only with MAJOR changes. Each manufacturers are different from the other, and often from year to year.

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it! I was mainly curious at first, because I thought they'd be prohibitively expensive. Those at the Sundowner site are very reasonable, so I really will check into it further.
